From Asia Director to Asia Ministry Facilitators

The term “Area Director” was replaced with “Regional Ministry Facilitator” during EFCCM’s 2019 restructuring. This new emphasis on collaborative leadership aligns well with the five priorities of our EFCCM Asia leadership ministry: communicate, care, network, equip, and recruit.

As Ann & I together take on this new role of Asia Regional Ministry Facilitators, we look forward to trying to make those verbs active within the EFCCM world of Asia! During 2019 we had the privilege of visiting EFCCM Asia personnel in Thailand, the Philippines, Japan, and Canada. And Dale also visited partners in Hong Kong (pictured above) and Taipei in Taiwan. Traveling to destinations in Asia is relatively simple for us because Tokyo is one of the gateways to Asia. So for example, one of our EFCCMers serving in a creative access country was able to come and visit us in Tokyo. In addition, we don’t need to deal with jet lag when Tokyo is our departure point!
We are planning our first Asia retreat Mar 30 - Apr 3, to be held in Pattaya, Thailand. We are so pleased that most of our Asia personnel can attend! It will be a time to “Get to know one another and our ministries. Be encouraged from God’s Word. Relax. Be refreshed. Smile. Laugh.”
